Why a Blog?

A little bit about me

I make stuff. Like bread and curtains. Sweaters when it's cold, skirts when it's warm. I love taking things once used for something else and giving them a new life. I can make a pair of pants for Otto out of an old t-shirt in one naptime. I am always in the middle of painting one room of the house and planning the next. I would like to switch up all the rooms with every season change but alas, it just isn't practical. I love music. Lately boys singing harmonies with banjos has really been working for me. I need my brother to visit soon so I can take a long gander at his iPod. Crazy young, art school, painter music freak that he is. When I was 21 I opened a restaurant. I know, crazy!! People still stop me on the street and tell me how much they miss it and this fall it will be closed for 4 years. Otto will be three and a half, you do the math. Food it's what I think about most of the time. Well that and my sewing machine and yarn stash.
