off to Washington State

So after I spent a few days in Chicago we flew to Washington to go to my great-uncle John's wedding in Bellingham. I have lots of fun pictures and stories to show from that, but now I am getting hungry so I am going to have to save them for later.

Big Yia-Yia

One other highlight of my Chicago trip was I got to meet my Big Yia-Yia. She is Yia-Yia's mother. I love meeting people who are so excited to see me. She sure was interesting and fun. Not everyone has a big Yia-Yia so I am pretty lucky.

Chicago!

So my summer adventures were a huge success! Mom and Dad took me on a fab vac-ay. First we stopped in Philadelphia to see Grandpa and Nona (sp?) Jen. They have some cool new toys for me to play with. That was a lot of fun. Then we flew to Chicago. This was my first trip to the windy city. I loved it. I got to meet Ouzo, Grandpa and Yia-Yia's huge puppy. He wanted to play with my toys and lick me all over. I am pretty sure next time I see him he will be fun to ride. On the first day we were visiting we went to this really cool store that had a giant aquarium like uncle Ben's. I really love watching the fish. Mom says if we had fish at home Grendel would love them too much.

My first rice cereal

This was taken on June 22, 2007. It was my first attempt at food. There was rumor that it would help me sleep longer than two hours at a time. It seemed to help my mom when she was my age. The first few times so little of it made it into my tummy that there was no way it could help. Now though I love my evening snacks. And every once and a while I treat mom and dad by sleeping for 4 hours. I try not to do that too often, I don't want them to get cocky. I have now tried oatmeal which I love but I have to be careful not to eat too much too fast. If I do that it all ends up on mom a little later which I don't think she enjoyed as much as I thought she would!

catch up

Well, I have been very busy lately. So busy that I have not been sleeping. Because of this I have been a bit behind on my blog updates. Here are some pictures of my trip to New York earlier this month. I had such a wonderful time. New York is my kind of town, the city that never sleeps. I will try to get some pictures of the last few weeks at home up in the next day or so. On wednesday I am heading to Philadelphia, from there I am flying to Chicago for a few days. From there I am off to Bellingham, Washington for my great uncle John's wedding. Then it is back to Chicago for some more visiting, then home again. I will be sure to take lots of pictures and fill you in on all of my adventures soon.

Before we all headed home in the morning, we went to a little Brazilian restaurant for dinner. Ben and Katie came in to meet us for dinner. It was pretty late and I snoozed in my stroller through most of it. I had an exciting day and called it an early night. It sure was a ton of fun though.
Mom and Dad went on a date to see a taping of the Jon Stewart Show. While they were off having a blast I went with Yia -Yia and Grandpa Rogers to a food fest on 46th Street. There was really good music playing which I really enjoyed. I got a bit fussy but nothing that quite a few rounds of the Mexican Hat Dance song on Yia-Yia's shoulder couldn't fix.

Here I am lounging in Central Park with Mom, Dad, Yia-Yia and Grandpa Rogers. It was just a beautiful day to be exploring the city. It is nice to have so many adoring fans.

I just love cruisin' around in New York. There are so many people to watch and fun things to see. Just sitting at breakfast with mom is fun. I don't know why they waited so long to bring me here.

Here I am in Hoboken with my uncle Ben. I really enjoyed looking at all of his cool fish. Dad says that if we had fish at home Grendel would just eat them. I bet that would be fun to watch as well!
