This is the list of plumbing problems (mainly drips) I have fixed in the past week. I will admit, there is a certain sense of satisfaction I get from fixing things around the house. I grew up never seeing a contractor and living in a series of historic homes always under construction or reconstruction. I learned a lot by watching. Enough to try some things on my own or to ask an endless stream of questions... depends on the project. That being said, I would be totally fine with not getting the pipe wrench out for a few days.
Still, I wouldn't give up living in our beautiful 1916 Colonial Revival in the heart of town for anything. Goodness knows I need something to keep my busy!

I miss living like that! We used to live in an old 1920's flat with closets the size of large tuna cans and leaky windows but we loved it. There is so much character.
